Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify system faults accurately. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise system setup and repairs. Conduct equipment troubleshooting and mechanical systems repair to restore optimal operation efficiently. Diagnose issues related to electrical systems, plumbing connections, refrigerant leaks, and mechanical components while ensuring compliance with EPA regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to homeowners. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all work performed for transparency and future reference. Qualifications Proven construction experience combined with service technician background in residential HVAC systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair and installation. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems, electrical systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler operations. Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for effective repairs. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants along with a valid driver's license. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems maintenance and field service procedures.
