In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system tune-ups on residential heating and cooling equipment while providing outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and committed to helping homeowners keep their HVAC systems operating efficiently year-round. Responsibilities 1. Preventive Maintenance Perform scheduled maintenance on residential heating and cooling equipment, including but not limited to furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and mini-split systems. Check and replace filters as needed. Inspect electrical components, wiring, capacitors, contactors, relays, and safety controls. Verify proper refrigerant levels and system operation. Measure and document operating pressures, temperatures, voltage, amperage, airflow, and temperature differentials. Test thermostats and control systems for proper operation. 2. Diagnostics and Minor Repairs Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend corrective actions. Perform minor repairs during maintenance visits when authorized. Troubleshoot common HVAC system issues. Report major repair needs. 3. Customer Service Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and professionally to homeowners. Educate customers on system operation, maintenance practices, and energy-saving opportunities. Promote maintenance agreements and company services when appropriate. Always maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude. 4. Documentation Complete accurate service reports, inspection forms, and maintenance checklists. Document equipment condition, deficiencies, repairs performed, and recommendations. Record equipment information, operating data, and customer interactions in company software. Submit paperwork and reports in a timely manner. 5. Safety Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Utilize proper personal protective equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Operate company vehicles and equipment safely. Qualifications 1. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally. Ability to climb ladders, work in attics, crawl spaces, and confined areas. Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and work in varying weather conditions. Ability to work overtime and participate in an on-call rotation as needed. 2.
