Job Description
ARS/Rescue Rooter is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Tech to join our Construction industry team in Memphis. In this field-based role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems, delivering safe, high-quality work and excellent customer service. You'll perform tune-ups, replacements, and emergency calls while following strict safety and code standards. ARS/Rescue Rooter offers year-round work, ongoing technical training, clear advancement paths, and the support of a national service network committed to integrity and teamwork. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems Perform preventive maintenance and system tune-ups Install replacement parts and equipment as needed Follow all safety, code, and company standards on every job Communicate findings, options, and estimates clearly to customers Complete accurate service tickets and documentation via mobile tools Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in good condition Participate in on-call rotation for emergency and after-hours service Collaborate with dispatch and team members to meet service SLAs Promote maintenance agreements and additional services when appropriate Required Skills HVAC system troubleshooting Residential HVAC repair Light commercial HVAC service Preventive maintenance Refrigerant handling (EPA 608) Electrical diagnostics for HVACReading blueprints and schematics Use of HVAC meters and gauges Customer communication Service documentation
