As an

AMS HVAC

Technician, you will perform routine repairs and maintenance on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems including air distribution machinery, pneumatic and digital controls, hot and chilled water distribution, and variable volume systems for new and existing customers. Position Duties Performs preventive maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs on both pneumatically controlled and digitally controlled HVAC systems; Performs seasonal overhauls and transitions of systems to and from heating/cooling; Participates in major component replacement and evaluation of complex system problems under the leadership of a higher level technician; Performs building system repairs in coordination with operators of the centralized Energy Management and Control System; Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices; Regular and in-person attendance required; Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as Basic Skills Knowledge of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance; Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures; Ability to repair building systems that are controlled by a central Energy Management Control System (EMCS); Knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures of digitally controlled HVAC systems featuring programmable logic controls; Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to Strong written and oral communication skills Highly motivated and self-directed Critical thinking Strong interpersonal skills Strong customer service orientation Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, fellow employees and the general public
