Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical equipment, plumbing fixtures, and refrigeration units to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic devices to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems efficiently. Repair appliances related to HVAC/R systems while adhering to safety protocols and industry best practices. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports documenting all repairs, inspections, and installations performed. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate repairs or upgrades that improve system performance and energy efficiency. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction sites or field service environments. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC system design plans. Experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications; ability to perform appliance repair when necessary. Familiarity with HVAC/R standards, air conditioning units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting. Skilled in welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication tasks. Valid driver's license with a clean record; experience driving vehicles preferred. Mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving skills for complex maintenance tasks. Ability to interpret technical schematics and perform precise repairs based on detailed instructions.

Pay:

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
