Job Description
Role Overview — Hourly + Commission Advanced Heating and Air is looking for a licensed Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our home base in Ada, OK. We've been fixing comfort problems for Oklahoma homeowners since 1994 — this role diagnoses, repairs, and installs residential HVAC systems with the backing of an established local company. You'll work independently in customers' homes, but you're never on your own — dispatch, pricebook, and leadership are a call away. Minimum Qualifications Active Oklahoma HVAC Journeyman license 3+ years of residential HVAC service and installation experience Valid Oklahoma driver's license with a clean driving record Strong diagnostic skills across refrigerant, electrical, and airflow systems Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and Oklahoma weather Comfortable presenting repair and replacement options to homeowners Ability to pass background check and company-required screenings Reliable attendance and punctuality Ideal Candidate Characteristics You're a Veteran or First Responder You lift up others on your team & are always respectful You understand the business side of your role You take personal responsibility You're ambitious, curious, and competitive You take pride in your appearance and you're self-aware You never spend a customer's money for them You professionally balance the companys' best interests with the customers' You welcome earning commission on sales and performance pay Key Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems — heat pumps, furnaces, central AC, and mini-splits Complete HVAC equipment installations and change-outs per manufacturer specs and local code Present a minimum of three estimate options on every service call — we present, the customer decides Follow all company checklists on every job without exception Document all work accurately in ServiceTitan Explain the Advanced Heating & Air Membership Plan to customers on every visit Actively strive for and deliver 5-star service to customers Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle Follow all company safety standards and local HVAC codes Experience 3+ years of residential HVAC service and installation experience (required) Active Oklahoma HVAC Journeyman license (required) ServiceTitan or similar field service software experience (preferred) Work Schedule & Expectations Standard schedule: Monday through Friday, year-round work On-call/weekend rotation during peak season is required Must be willing to adapt to schedule changes and urgent customer needs Some shifts may be 12 hours long During the Summer you may run ~8 jobs a day (people need your help)
