Job Description
Journeyman HVAC Technician Minimum of 3 years hands on experience or a combination of experience and HVAC specific technical training. Experience in diagnosing, repairing, maintenance, installation of HVAC systems, controls and duct work. Must have a complete understanding of refrigerant processes and diagnosis. Must have a complete understanding of HVAC repair and installation best practices. Strong low and high voltage electrical troubleshooting and wiring ability. An understanding of duct systems and airflow as it pertains to the effects on system performance and design. The ability to use and apply hand tools, power tools, HVAC diagnostic tools as they pertain to the diagnosis and repair of HVAC systems and ductwork. The ability to work alone and complete repairs without supervision. Must be able to withstand extreme temperatures and weather conditions. The ability to lift and carry 50-75 lbs. Must be able to climb step and extension ladders. Must have the physical ability to gain access to difficult locations and work in confined spaces. Adapt and overcome difficult situations unsupervised and without direction. Must be able to work with the public in residential and commercial settings in a polite and understanding manner with outstanding customer service. The ability to glean information from the client in order to gain insight.
