Technician Certification Power tools Full Job Description SUMMARY Maintains environmental conditions by installing and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment as well as refrigeration equipment; maintaining records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Organizes work by studying work orders, diagrams, specifications, drawings, and blueprints; gathering required materials. Establishes environmental systems by mounting, installing, fabricating, or connecting compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, expansion and discharge values, motors, temperature and humidity controls, fans, control panels, switches, fuses, filters, gauges, ducts, piping, tubing, and related components; completes power connections. Tests and repairs environmental systems by operating the systems; identifying malfunctions; repairing or replacing sealants, parts and components. Test and repairs refrigeration units/equipment/systems for safe operating temperatures of walk-in and reach-in freezers and coolers. Tests and repairs commercial kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, fryers, warmers and steamers. Keeps tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance. Documents actions by completing daily work log. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EPA Type I and II or universal certification required Ability to use power tools and lift some heavy equipment Attention to detail, dependability Must have and maintain a valid driver's license EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma / GED with emphasis in technical trades Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules (i.e., Lockout/Tagout, JSAs), Safety Awareness information (such as MSDS) operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Basic safety, documentation skills (write routine reports, keep logs), conceptual skills Knowledge of restaurant equipment, including Commercial refrigeration units.
