Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Property Maintenance Technician with HVAC certification to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems and facilities equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment. Your expertise in HVAC systems, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and mechanical maintenance will be essential in delivering exceptional service across our properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to the upkeep of high-quality residential or commercial spaces. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facilities equipment using schematics, hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and other specialized tools. Conduct HVAC system repairs including replacing filters, repairing ductwork, and diagnosing system malfunctions to maintain climate control standards. Utilize welding skills for metal repairs and fabrication tasks as needed for building maintenance projects. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and repair logs. Support building interior maintenance tasks such as painting (including residential painting), carpentry repairs, and general facilities upkeep to enhance the overall environment. Assist with plumbing system maintenance including leak detection, pipe repairs, fixture replacements, and ensuring code compliance. Collaborate with team members to lead small maintenance projects or mentor junior staff in technical procedures. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from residents or tenants while maintaining professionalism. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations with a strong background in HVAC system repair and electrical work. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Hands-on experience with plumbing repairs, carpentry projects, welding techniques, and electrical equipment repair. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for managing automated building systems. Knowledge of maintenance painting techniques (including residential painting) and general interior building upkeep. Experience working with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) procedures in residential or commercial environments. Ability to operate hand tools efficiently along with specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Leadership qualities desirable for guiding team efforts or mentoring less experienced technicians. Fluency in English required for clear communication across teams and documentation.
