Job Description

Qualifications
HVAC Certification (Required)
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Excellent organizational, problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
Proficient knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pneumatic knowledge, heating and refrigeration
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for the daily operation of all HVAC systems, which includes heating and cooling loops, AHU's, VAV's, Heat Pumps, Chillers, Cooling Towers, VFDs, boilers, pumps, FCU's, ventilation, humidity controls, thermostats, BAS controls and systems, unit heaters, wall units, refrigerants, and associated ductwork, piping, valves, and wiring
Perform preventative maintenance on all mechanical systems
Perform routine maintenance and trouble-shooting on heat generators
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and climb ladders
Respond to emergency call-ins
All other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities, including but not limited to completion of assigned work orders, snow removal, etc.
ADA Specifications
Must be able to reach above and below the waist, walk, and use fingers to pick, feel and grasp objects. Requires use of both hands for repetitive motion. Able to bend, twist, kneel, stoop, climb, and crawl. Lifts/carries supplies weighing 50 pounds or more. Ability to work in an external environment subject to temperatures below 32 degrees or above 100 degrees. Able to stand or walk 80 percent (80%) of the workday. Ability to work alone and with little direct supervision.
Terms of Employment
Full time; 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Excellent medical benefits, paid holidays and vacation, state pension, and tuition reimbursement. Position is Non-Exempt and eligible for overtime.
