Overview This role involves maintaining and repairing mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems within a facilities environment. The technician will perform preventative maintenance, emergency responses, and vendor management to ensure optimal building performance and safety. Responsibilities Master diverse building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, BAS, fire life safety, and lighting through hands-on maintenance, monitoring, and repairs Lead preventative maintenance initiatives by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing critical equipment components Serve as first responder to facility emergencies and service requests, making an immediate difference Execute electrical and mechanical repairs including lighting systems, ballasts, fixtures, motors, pumps, and plumbing infrastructure Drive operational excellence through detailed maintenance reporting, precise record-keeping, and strategic equipment inventory management Partner with vendors to optimize quality, pricing, and service delivery across facility operations Monitor system performance through equipment readings and proactive adjustments to maximize efficiency Ensure accuracy in parts procurement and maintain comprehensive tool and instrument inventories Champion safety excellence through proper hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal protocols Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC's (or obtain within 90 days of employment) Valid driver's license Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel Ability to analyze system operations, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions Preferred Qualifications Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills Self-motivated team player with hands-on mechanical inclination Comprehensive understanding of safety and environmental protocols Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to various tasks Experience with vendor management and inventory control systems This is a night shift position with on-call responsibilities 24/7 for emergency responses. #IND123 We thank all applicants for their interest.
