MGMT Residential seeks an HVAC Technician with five plus years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Skilled in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues using specialized tools and testing equipment. Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment performance and extend system life. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Recharge refrigerants and ensure compliance with EPA regulations. Replace defective components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, valves, and electrical controls. Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations. Respond promptly to emergency service calls and resolve issues efficiently. Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and repair documentation. Communicate repair recommendations, maintenance plans, and system operation.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical controls. Proficiency in troubleshooting residential and commercial HVAC equipment. Experience with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. Ability to read technical drawings and wiring schematics. Knowledge of EPA refrigerant handling regulations. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. HVAC certification or technical training. EPA Section 608 Certification preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Minimum of 5 years of professional HVAC technician experience.
