Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician, where you'll be at the forefront of creating comfortable, safe, and efficient indoor environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of HVAC systems, from installation to maintenance and repair, ensuring optimal performance for commercial and residential clients alike. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and set up HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and design specifications. Conduct system diagnostics using electrical meters such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation and longevity. Repair and service HVAC systems by diagnosing problems with refrigeration, electrical components, plumbing connections, and mechanical parts. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately install or repair complex HVAC systems. Collaborate with property managers or clients to assess needs and provide expert recommendations on system upgrades or replacements. Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Requirements Proven experience in construction work or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC system installation or repair. Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and building automation system diagrams. Experience with electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, plumbing connections, and refrigeration systems. Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other mechanical tools. Knowledge of HVAC design principles along with experience in HVAC system maintenance and repair procedures. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants (or equivalent licensing). Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred. Additional certifications such as ammonia refrigeration handling or boiler operation are a plus. Pay:
