Job Description

The HVAC Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC) systems. This position oversees field personnel, ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to company standards, while maintaining quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead HVAC technicians and installers on commercial and/or residential job sites. Plan, organize, and coordinate daily work activities to meet project deadlines. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings. Ensure all HVAC installations comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations. Monitor job progress and maintain quality control throughout each project. Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to improve performance and productivity. Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and clients. Order, track, and manage materials, tools, and equipment. Conduct safety meetings and enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Troubleshoot installation and system issues and provide technical guidance to field staff. Complete daily reports, time sheets, and project documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical HVAC education preferred. Minimum of 5 years of HVAC installation or service experience. Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, ductwork, piping, and refrigeration principles. Ability to read blueprints and construction documents. EPA Certification required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Preferred Skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of building codes and OSHA safety requirements. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to motivate and develop team members.
