HVAC- Service Technician

HVAC Technician Job Description Position Overview:

Next Level Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled, reliable, and motivated HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience , strong technical knowledge, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. This role includes working on modern HVAC systems, including inverter technology, as well as opportunities to generate additional income through equipment sales and commission.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, mini-splits, and ventilation equipment. Diagnose system issues, perform troubleshooting, and ensure proper system operation. Perform preventative maintenance (filter changes, coil cleaning, refrigerant checks, system inspections). Educate customers on system performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when needed. Promote and sell HVAC equipment and services to customers (commission-based opportunities). Work with modern and high-efficiency systems, including inverter technology . Accurately document work performed, parts used, and service recommendations. Follow all safety protocols and comply with HVAC codes and regulations. Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent service. Be available for overtime and occasional after-hours/emergency calls . Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years of HVAC experience required. EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) required. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and refrigeration principles. Experience with inverter systems preferred. Background in equipment sales and customer service is a strong plus. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Comfortable working in attics, rooftops, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions.
