Your Impact Are you a skilled and highly motivated HVAC Technician who is looking to learn and grow in a fast-paced, rewarding job in the Telecom industry? If so, Pearce has a career for you! As a Pearce Traveling Lead HVAC Installation Technician , you will perform the installation and upgrade of commercial systems. This role requires comprehensive technical knowledge and strong HVAC skills to ensure projects meet budget, safety, and completion goals. This role is a great match for responsible self-starters who are willing to travel. This is a travel position - 90% overnight travel is required but candidates should reside in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area to travel with team.
Core Responsibilities Installation Projects:
Perform HVAC installation, replacement, and upgrades of commercial cooling systems, ensuring quality and timely completion.
Project Planning:
Manage onsite time and workflow to complete projects in an efficient manner.
Self Sufficiency:
Ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
Site Travel:
Travel to remote work sites as needed. 75%
Travel Required Documentation and Reporting:
Complete daily reports and maintain accurate documentation to support project objectives.
Quality Control and Testing :
Conduct performance checks on upgrades and seasonal equipment, verifying system functionality and quality.
Codes :
Experience with State/Local/Federal mechanical and electrical codes.
Mechanical Drawings:
Able to read and understand technical specifications and construction documents to meet engineer and customer's requirements. Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs. Core Experience Must be EPA Universal Certified (REQUIRED). Forklift and Crane Operation Certified is a plus. Minimum of 10 years in commercial and/or industrial HVAC installation and servicing. Experience with wall-mounted MarvAir, Bard, and MarvAir DAC/WAC direct air-cooling units highly preferred. Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems. Ability to understand and install both supply/return duct work, with backdraft dampers. Physical/Work Environment At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with
OSHA/EPA
standards and regulations. This is a travel position but candidates should reside in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. This is a travel position-travel will be required for up to three weeks at a time. A per diem will be provided when traveling. Ability to utilize a phone, computer, and tablet to work projects, complete reports, and communicate with teams. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Requires passing a DOT physical.
Compensation:
