Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician OSS Contracting Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll be at the forefront of maintaining and repairing essential climate control systems across commercial and residential properties. Duties Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to prevent future failures. Install new HVAC equipment in accordance with design specifications and building codes, utilizing skills in HVAC design and construction principles. Troubleshoot electrical issues with tools like ohmmeters, ensuring safe and effective repairs for refrigeration, appliance systems, and mechanical components. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems when necessary, including pipe fittings and refrigerant line repairs or replacements. Maintain detailed service records, schematics updates, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and facilitate future troubleshooting. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems; construction experience is highly valued. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in refrigeration, plumbing, boiler operation, and appliance repair. Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems including ammonia refrigeration is preferred. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical diagrams for system troubleshooting or installation. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and field service equipment to identify issues efficiently. Experience with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems; mechanic experience is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Certifications in HVAC/R or related fields are desirable; ongoing training in HVAC design or advanced refrigeration techniques is encouraged.
