Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician and become a vital part of maintaining comfortable, safe, and efficient indoor environments. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, install, and service a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your mechanical expertise and customer service skills will ensure optimal system performance while providing exceptional support to clients. Duties Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot complex HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) equipment using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues swiftly. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system operation and energy efficiency. Diagnose electrical problems within HVAC systems and execute repairs using hand tools and electrical testing devices. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs or installations. Service plumbing components associated with HVAC systems such as condensate drains or refrigerant lines. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs for compliance and future reference. Communicate effectively with clients to explain repairs or system upgrades while delivering excellent customer service in a professional manner. Ensure all work complies with safety standards including EPA regulations for refrigerants and ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and property maintenance. Previous service technician experience specializing in HVAC/R systems or related mechanical fields. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics reading, building automation systems, electrical systems, refrigeration techniques including ammonia refrigeration if applicable. Skilled in troubleshooting equipment issues using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices. Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC system installation, repair, maintenance procedures including boilers and appliances. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise repairs or installations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating HVAC equipment or vehicles is preferred. Certifications such as EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification for refrigerant handling are required; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or plumbing are advantageous. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members alike. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
