Job Description

Job Title HVAC Technician 2 Department Energy Services Salary $44,992 - $55,342; commensurate with experience Job Summary/Basic Function Independently maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace complex HVAC, refrigeration, and control systems for campus facilities. Perform advanced diagnostics, system installations, major equipment replacements, and controls work. Serve as a technical resource for lower-classification staff and ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. Perform advanced preventive maintenance and system optimization Diagnose complex HVAC malfunctions and determine repair vs. replacement Install and replace HVAC equipment and control systems Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and DDC control work Read and interpret complex wiring schematics and control drawings Coordinate with vendors for specialized parts and services Verify work quality and assist in guiding lower classification technicians Respond to critical system failures and emergency situations Required Education High school diploma or High School Equivalency Required Related Experience Significant experience with a wide variety of HVAC systems, or completion of a recognized HVAC apprenticeship Required License/Registration/Certification EPA certification required Valid driver's license required.
