In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal indoor air quality and comfort. Your expertise will contribute to creating safe, efficient, and comfortable environments for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for mechanical systems and a drive to deliver exceptional service. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and heating equipment according to schematics and design plans. Conduct system diagnostics using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot issues effectively. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design documents, plumbing diagrams, and building automation system layouts to facilitate accurate installation and repairs. Repair mechanical systems such as boilers, refrigeration units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and other mechanical components. Diagnose electrical problems within HVAC/R systems utilizing electrical diagnostic tools; repair or replace faulty components as needed. Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and maintenance reports; communicate findings clearly with team members and clients. Operate welding equipment when necessary for system repairs or modifications; ensure all work adheres to safety protocols including EPA regulations for refrigerants. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems; support field service operations across various sites. Skills Construction experience combined with hands-on service technician expertise in HVAC installation and repair. Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration technology, and building automation systems. Mechanical knowledge encompassing mechanical systems repair including boilers, pumps, fans, and other related equipment. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience with welding and equipment repair is a plus. Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and experience working with HVAC/R applications in commercial settings. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements preferred. Certifications including EPA certification for refrigerants; additional credentials in property maintenance or appliance repair are advantageous. Ability to read technical schematics accurately; excellent problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical diagnostics. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients; commitment to safety standards at all times.
