This is a full time position with a stable schedule and opportunity for advancement. The Service Technician earns $28 to $30 per hour base plus performance bonuses. Responsibilities include performing dispatched service calls, assisting with installations, and supporting both office and field operations as part of a coordinated team. Responsibilities Perform dispatched residential service calls, diagnostics, and repairs on air conditioning, heat pump, and furnace systems Read and interpret schematics, equipment manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot system issues Assist with residential HVAC installations as scheduled Conduct routine maintenance using the company's tiered checklist process, including filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections Diagnose and repair refrigerant, electrical, and mechanical issues on residential split systems and package units Communicate clearly with homeowners about system issues, repair procedures, and maintenance recommendations Maintain detailed service reports, logs, and documentation in the company's system for every service call Keep assigned company truck stocked, clean, and inventory accurate Coordinate with office and dispatch to ensure efficient daily operations Represent Unity Services with professionalism, workmanship, and a customer first approach Requirements Active TDLR Registered HVAC Technician License (verifiable through TDLR) 3 to 5 years of residential HVAC service experience EPA 608 certification Strong diagnostic skills on residential split systems, heat pumps, and package units Ability to read schematics, equipment manuals, and HVAC design plans Experience presenting repair and replacement options to homeowners High sense of integrity and accountability when working independently in customers' homes Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance and communication Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record Personal set of hand tools Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and on rooftops Successful completion of a pre employment background check and drug screening, including a clean criminal record (required for entry into customers' homes) We Offer Base pay of $28 to $30 per hour, commensurate with experience and certifications Performance based bonuses on sales and efficiency, paid in addition to base Full time position, 35 to 40 hours per week Year round residential work in the greater Houston market Stocked company truck and fuel card Specialty tools and equipment provided Paid parental leave PTO and paid holidays after 6 months Defined path for advancement within a growing company Why Unity Services Unity Services provides year round residential work in one of the busiest HVAC markets in the country, modern dispatching and clear processes, and a coordinated office and field team.
