Permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join the engineering and building services team at a well established commercial facility in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on HVAC professional to take responsibility for the reliable operation, maintenance and repair of critical HVAC and mechanical systems across a large, complex facility. The Role As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC and mechanical equipment, ensuring the building remains comfortable, safe and fully operational. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems. Diagnose and repair HVAC faults and equipment breakdowns. Maintain and troubleshoot air handling units, pumps, motors, chillers, boilers and associated equipment. Monitor building environmental conditions and ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently. Respond to service requests and breakdowns in a timely manner. Carry out inspections and identify potential equipment failures or maintenance requirements. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Work alongside other building engineers and contractors to support wider building operations Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant health, safety and operational procedures. Support energy-efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Previous experience as an HVAC Technician, HVAC Engineer, Building Engineer or similar. Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems. Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance. Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities. EPA certification. Good understanding of safe working practices. Commercial building or facilities maintenance experience preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
