Whatever your commercial refrigeration needs may be, Subcool Refrigeration has the solution Duties Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems Inspect equipment to identify issues and ensure proper operation Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using testing tools Repair or replace defective components (compressors, motors, thermostats, wiring) Check and recharge refrigerant levels according to regulations Clean and service system components (coils, filters, ducts) Communicate issues and repair options clearly to customers Maintain service records and documentation Respond to emergency or on-call service requests Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles Identify airflow issues, leaks, or system inefficiencies Ensure systems comply with safety and environmental standards Experience Basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues Preventive maintenance experience Commercial or industrial HVAC/R systems experience Advanced troubleshooting (electrical controls, compressors) Experience training apprentices or leading jobs Energy efficiency optimization and system upgrades Valid driver's license (for service calls) Ability to work independently in the field On-call or emergency repair experience Experience with commercial refrigeration systems (walk-in coolers/freezers) Strong troubleshooting skills with minimal supervision Customer service experience in a service technician role Prior experience working independently and managing service calls Familiarity with EPA regulations and safe refrigerant handling Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems Must demonstrate prior experience working as an HVAC/R service technician to qualify for assignment of a company vehicle and fuel card.
