Certification Water treatment Full Job Description Job description Role and Responsibilities Install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. Skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. Guide and advise the resident on the most appropriate manner of operating their system. Responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs. Undertakes and performs the following and all other work related duties as assigned. Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training. Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act. Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements. Assisting with customers' queries. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, grills, fryers), beverage systems, and refrigeration units Perform intermediate electrical work as needed. Education and Experience High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent. One (1) + year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating. Working knowledge of boiler systems. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols. Proficient in reading schematics and work plans. Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice. Ability to work in confined spaces. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, orally and in writing Ability to communicate in English, Spanish or other Physical Requirements Work is performed indoors and outdoors. May also frequently stand for long periods at a time. Must be able to sit or stand for up to eight (8) hours at a time while performing essential work duties. Must be able to bend, stoop, push, and pull in the performance of essential job-related duties (e.g. moving or carrying objects or materials). Must be able to use fingers bilaterally and unilaterally to operate job-related equipment. Must have vision and hearing corrected to be able to perform essential job functions. Must be able to perform essential job functions in an environment that will sometimes include increased levels of work-related stress. Must maintain a professional appearance and portray a positive image of BPNIC. Must maintain punctuality and attendance as scheduled. Other Requirements Must possess a valid State of Texas driver's license and maintain a good driving record. May be required to work an unusual work schedule. Must pass a criminal background check.
