Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and efficiency of mechanical systems across diverse building environments. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, air conditioning, boilers, and building automation systems. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex HVAC equipment while delivering exceptional customer service. We have multiple fast food sites, that you'll be responsible for repairing evaps and condensors. repairing Coldwells to keep our food staying cold Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including ductwork, refrigeration units, boilers, and air conditioning equipment following schematics and design plans. Perform routine maintenance and preventative inspections on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical system diagnostics to identify faults. Troubleshoot equipment problems related to refrigeration, mechanical systems, plumbing, and electrical components; execute repairs promptly. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide installation and repair procedures. Service HVAC systems by replacing worn parts, calibrating controls, and ensuring compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerants. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs for ongoing maintenance planning. Communicate effectively with clients to explain system issues and recommend solutions while providing excellent customer service. Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment safely to perform repairs or installations efficiently. Support building automation system adjustments to optimize environmental controls within facilities. Skills Construction experience with HVAC system installation and building infrastructure. Proven service technician experience in diagnosing and repairing HVAC/R equipment. Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to mechanical systems. Knowledge of HVAC design principles and mechanical knowledge for system troubleshooting. Experience with plumbing connections associated with HVAC units. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; ability to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively. Familiarity with refrigeration cycles including ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable. Ability to repair complex mechanical systems such as boilers or air conditioning units efficiently. Hands-on experience with hand tools necessary for equipment repair and installation tasks. Knowledge of building automation systems used to control HVAC functions remotely or automatically. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; understanding of environmental regulations regarding refrigerant use. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid driver's license suitable for operating company vehicles safely (including driver if applicable).
