Collaborates with managers and supervisors to maintain systems in peak operating condition
Follows all regulations and appropriate procedures including quality policies, safety policies, and standards per (OSHA) the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, (EPA) United States Environmental Protection Agency, (NIOSH) National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, (NFPA) National Fire Protection Association, (ASME) the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, (NEC) the National Electrical Code where required
Performs ductwork modifications and various repairs
Performs brazing, soldering, evacuation, recovery and charging of various refrigerants
Performs water piping and insulation modifications and repairs
Completes work orders as assigned in a timely manner.
Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner
Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards
Plans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines
Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities
Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties
Mentors, monitors, and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH
Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior
Provides quality services for students and ensures that quality is maintained, and student needs are met
Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties
Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested
Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas
Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions
Follow-up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency certificate Four years of professional experience working with HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems
Certification or registration as HVAC technician
Knowledge in the following areas: HVAC, electrical safety, tubing, pipe-fittings, rotating machinery (pumps, air compressors, etc.), and basic plumbing
Universal certification from the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI)
Knowledge of flammable gas, and refrigeration gases
Professional experience maintaining high efficiency and standard air handling unit (AHU) filtration systems
Basic understanding of the theory of operation for refrigeration, motors, and mechanics
Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies and industry standards
Ability to understand schematic diagrams
Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in tight spaces, and climbing hand over hand, lifting 25 lbs., and working on ladders/lifts at elevated heights
Ability to work in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, noise, and all-weather conditions
Ability to work overtime as needed and participate in an on-call rotation
