Optimal Air Solutions is a rapidly growing Houston-area HVAC company expanding our commercial service division. We're looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician who has the mindset of a startup builder—someone who is comfortable taking ownership, solving problems independently, helping develop processes, and playing a key role in the growth of our commercial department. This is not an entry-level service position. We are looking for a seasoned technician who is confident making decisions in the field, mentoring other technicians, building strong customer relationships, and helping establish the standard for our commercial service team. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and restaurant equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems. Provide accurate repair recommendations and estimates for repairs and equipment replacement. Complete detailed service reports and documentation for every job. Work closely with office staff to coordinate scheduling, follow-up visits, and customer communication. Assist in developing and improving service procedures, workflows, and best practices as our commercial division grows. Support and mentor other technicians by assisting with technical troubleshooting and field challenges. Deliver exceptional customer service while representing Optimal Air Solutions professionally at every job site. Perform additional duties as required to support customer and business needs. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience (required). Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, and restaurant equipment. Extensive experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC equipment. EPA Certification and TDLR License (required). Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work overtime, including evenings and weekend on-call rotations. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, climbing, and crawling for extended periods. Proficient in spoken and written English. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to provide at least two professional references.
