  • HVAC Specialist | Plant Operations Uvalde Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Mechanic II
  • HVAC Specialist to join our Plant Operations team.
This position is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional with a strong background in HVAC systems who is passionate about maintaining a safe, comfortable, and reliable healthcare environment. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the performance of critical building systems by troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, mechanical systems, utilities, and hospital infrastructure. The ideal candidate has advanced technical knowledge, works independently, and is committed to delivering exceptional service while supporting patient care through the reliable operation of hospital facilities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 3 years of progressive building maintenance or hospital facility experience Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerants preferred Technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related trade preferred Valid Texas Driver's License required Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and work with building automation systems (BAS) Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office applications If you're an experienced HVAC professional looking to make a meaningful impact in healthcare, we invite you to join Uvalde Memorial Hospital and help maintain the critical systems that keep our patients, staff, and community safe every day.
