Job Description

Position Summary The Lead HVAC Installer is responsible for overseeing and performing the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in new residential construction projects. This role combines hands-on installation with leadership—ensuring that crews meet schedule deadlines, follow specifications, and uphold quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Lead a small crew of HVAC installers and apprentices on residential new construction projects. Install complete HVAC systems including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, ductwork, and related components according to plans and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and builder specifications. Coordinate with project managers, builders, and other trades to ensure timely progress and jobsite efficiency. Verify materials on-site and ensure proper installation methods are followed. Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with code. Train and mentor junior installers and apprentices. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times. Complete required documentation (daily reports, material requests, change orders, etc.). Identify potential issues early and communicate solutions proactively. Qualifications 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience (new construction preferred). Proven leadership or crew lead experience. Strong understanding of duct design, airflow principles, and local mechanical codes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) preferred. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather conditions. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and leadership ability.
