Job Description
The HVAC II is part of a multi-craft team providing HVAC, refrigeration, thermostat controls, building automation systems, testing and balancing, and a variety of other maintenance activities for repairs, troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance, fire safety systems, and testing of equipment, buildings, and utility systems. A probationary period of 90 days (about 3 months) will be given for the organization to determine their ability, skill set, and ensure they uphold the values of the department and the organization. The HVAC II is responsible for completing documentation, quality control, rounding, and other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent GED. Current Viriginia DPOR Journeyman HVAC License Section 608 Universal Technician Certification from the Environmental Protection Agency 2-years of previous & verifiable HVAC related experience Knowledge of hand and power tools and repair techniques Excellent communication skills and the ability to function as part of a team Ability to read technical documents and follow verbal instructions Ability to read and interpret drawings Must possess and maintain a valid Virginia driver's license
