Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and field service experience in a fast-paced environment dedicated to property maintenance excellence. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as drainage and water supply connections. Conduct equipment repairs using tools like ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to ensure system functionality. Diagnose electrical problems within HVAC/R systems and perform necessary repairs or component replacements. Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections, repairs performed, and parts used for each job. Ensure compliance with safety standards including proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and adherence to environmental regulations. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to heating and cooling systems to improve overall building comfort and efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar mechanical field with construction background preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and ventilation equipment. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately. Mechanical aptitude with experience in appliance repair, plumbing, welding, and equipment repair techniques. Familiarity with field service procedures involving property maintenance and appliance troubleshooting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation between job sites. Hands-on experience with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; familiarity with HVAC/R controls is advantageous. Knowledge of safety protocols related to refrigerants, ammonia systems, welding procedures, and general maintenance practices. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
