Journeyman HVAC Technician | Park Your Toolbox Here Until 2028 Most contractor jobs come with an expiration date. Six weeks. Three months. Maybe a year if you're lucky. This opportunity is different. We're looking for a Journeyman HVAC Technician to support one of the country's largest refining companies at its Anacortes, Washington refinery on a long-term assignment scheduled through June 2028 . One site. Steady work. Contractor pay. And every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. If you're going to spend the next two years somewhere, it doesn't hurt that it's one of the most beautiful places in the country. Anacortes sits between the mountains and the water, with world-class fishing, boating, hiking, and the San Juan Islands right in your backyard. What you'll do Install, maintain, and repair industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems throughout the refinery. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls issues on critical equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to keep critical systems operating safely and reliably. Respond to equipment failures and emergency repairs that directly impact refinery operations. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Work alongside other skilled trades and maintenance professionals to support site operations. Document repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment history. You enjoy troubleshooting, take pride in your craft, and work safely without needing someone looking over your shoulder. You want challenging work, stability, and the opportunity to build industrial experience that can open doors throughout your career. You bring journeyman-level HVAC experience and a strong understanding of electrical systems, refrigeration, controls, and mechanical troubleshooting. Industrial or refinery experience is a plus, but great troubleshooters from other environments are encouraged to have a conversation.
