Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to spearhead installation projects and lead a team of skilled technicians. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the complete installation of HVAC systems, ensuring they meet design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations. Your expertise will drive efficiency on job sites, mentor junior team members, and uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional climate control solutions for commercial and residential clients. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to schematics and design plans. Supervise a team of installers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and quality assurance throughout each project phase. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and HVAC design documents to accurately install systems such as air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Perform complex equipment repairs, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R systems using tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment. Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations, building codes, plumbing standards, and environmental guidelines. Collaborate with project managers to plan workloads, order materials including mechanical components and appliances, and manage field service schedules efficiently. Conduct inspections of completed work to verify system performance and client satisfaction; document all procedures in detailed reports. Skills Extensive construction experience with a focus on HVAC system installation and property maintenance. Proven service technician background with hands-on experience in appliance repair, refrigeration, boiler operation, and equipment repair. Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing integration, and mechanical knowledge. Skilled in reading technical drawings and using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues. Experience working with air conditioning systems, ammonia refrigeration units, HVAC/R (Heating,Ventilation,A/C/Refrigeration), and related mechanical systems. Ability to operate welding equipment safely; familiar with boiler maintenance and mechanic experience is a plus. Valid driver's license with a driver endorsement preferred; capable of driving company vehicles safely across job sites.
