Plant Maintenance Mechanic Industrial Electrician (5 yr + Experience)

Overview We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems and industrial maintenance, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing various electrical components. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our operations. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility. Troubleshoot issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and inventory. Perform hydraulic system repairs and maintenance as needed. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Operate scissor lifts safely to access elevated work areas for repairs and installations. Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs. Execute welding tasks, including stick welding, as required for equipment repairs. Read and interpret schematics to understand electrical layouts and system designs. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, level, plum bobs, and straightedges. Repairs or replaces functional and structural parts in devices, using hand tools. Skills Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician with a strong understanding of electrical principles. Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage systems, including the use of ammeters and ohmmeters for testing. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial mechanics and maintenance practices. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions quickly. Excellent customer service skills, particularly in field service environments where client interaction is essential. Military experience is a plus, demonstrating discipline and technical proficiency in electrical systems. Knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC systems, technical sales, and welding techniques will be beneficial. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication within the team.
