Position Summary The Warehouse Assembler plays a key role in our production process by fitting, aligning, and securing electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies into finished units. Using hand tools, specialized shop equipment, and technical schematics, you will ensure every component meets our strict engineering tolerances and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Assembly & Integration:
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to accurately construct sub-assemblies and final product modules.
Material Preparation:
Gather and inspect required components, hardware, and equipment prior to starting production runs.
Precision Work:
Use hand tools, torque drivers, clamps, and light machinery (such as presses) to align and secure parts with high precision.
Chemical Application & Sealing:
Accurately dispense, apply, and cure technical adhesives, threadlockers, and environmental sealants according to engineering specifications and safety data sheets (SDS).
Surface Preparation:
Perform critical surface cleaning, degreasing, and abrasion prior to bonding to ensure proper joint adhesion and seal integrity.
In-Process Quality Checks:
Take measurements and visually inspect outputs against quality benchmarks to verify proper fit and function before passing items to testing.
Documentation & Tracking:
Maintain basic production logs tracking build quantities, assembly times, and inventory movement within the warehouse.
Equipment & Area Care:
Perform routine care on tools and assembly fixtures, keeping your workstation clean, safe, and well-organized.
Issue Escalation:
Identify and promptly report component defects, drawing discrepancies, or tool malfunctions to the team lead.
Qualifications & Skills Technical Aptitude:
Proven experience as a mechanical or electronic assembler, ideally within a manufacturing or structured warehouse environment.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to comfortably read and follow technical drawings, assembly schematics, and written instruction sheets.
Dexterity & Tool Use:
Excellent hand-eye coordination and confidence using a variety of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and shop machinery.
Quality Mindset:
Basic understanding of quality control principles and a sharp eye for minor visual or structural defects.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, reach, and perform repetitive fine-motor tasks throughout the shift, as well as lift up to 35-50 lbs periodically.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or technical coursework is a plus.
