Job Description
We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for assignment in Tucson, Arizona. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance, repair of equipment, instruments, processes and support systems of a Central Utility Plant on an assigned shift. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair critical facility equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations Inspect, maintain and repair motors, pumps, valves and related mechanical systems Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve system reliability and extend equipment life Maintain accurate work orders and asset data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Perform skilled mechanical repairs on plant systems and supporting infrastructure Conduct brazing, soldering and welding as needed on plant and facility systems Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches and specifications Install new equipment and interpret wiring diagrams, codes and technical documentation Safely operate aerial lifts, scaffolding, forklifts and other mobile equipment Participate in meetings and training sessions as required Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications High School Diploma or GED A valid Drivers License 5+ years experience in industrial maintenance (engines, pumps, valves), pipefitting or welding An understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and industrial safety standards
