Job Description Stepan Anaheim is seeking a Mechanic to join our Maintenance team in Anaheim, CA. In this role you will repot to the Maintenance Supervisor. The main responsiblities of the Mechanic (E&I) are to provide electrical, electronic, mechnical and technical support to production areas to ensure stable operations and provide continous improvement whil promoting safe work practices for maintaining day-to-day operations as a technical resource. This is a Union position, M-F day shift hours, flex hours, ocassionally, night and weekend work. There is a 180 day probationary period. Wage starts at $41.26/hr. Post probation wage is $47.26. Maintain boilers, chillers, and cooling towers along with other plant utilities. Troubleshoot repair/rebuild centrifugal, lobe, gear, and diaphragm pumps. Electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical repairs. Support the production team in continuous operation. Maintain the wastewater plant. Ability to weld stainless steel and carbon steel. Perform piping repairs and installations; stainless steel, galvanized steel, carbon steel and CPVC piping. Use laser alignment tools on rotating equipment to ensure proper shaft alignment. Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment to determine repair process. Participate and maintain compliance related activities including internal and external audits for applicable standards and certifications such as
ISO 9001
2015, EFfCI, FSSC 22000, Kosher, Halal, RSPO, ISCC+ and others. Qualifications Technical/trade school certification. Successfully completed an apprenticeship program, i.e., Millwrights, Operating Engineers. Experience with pump disassembly and reassembly. Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and think strategically to solve equipment issues and determine root cause failures. Refinery experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Education High School diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year or more of mechanical experience or preferred education.
