Full Job Description SUMMARY:
The Production Line Lead oversees and coordinates activities of workers engaged in component prep, mechanical assembly, and post soldering to manufacture parts or products by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and work orders to employees, and assign duties. 2. Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure that issues are resolved and scheduled deadlines are met. 3. Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications. 4. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. 5. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the department or work crew. 6. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. 7. Track work order process by updating whiteboard and preparing daily production reports. 8. Tracks supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from purchasing when needed. 9. Directly leads production groups, fulfills lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, elevates complaints and problems, and works closely with the production manager. 10. Recording of all attendance issues and quality issues in the employee folders for review by the production manager. 11. Consults with Director of Manufacturing on production and personnel issues. 12. Responsible to communicate all disciplinary issues and problems in department immediately to the production manager, if not this could lead to disciplinary actions. 13. Daily planning, assigning, and directing of responsibilities of work to the group from production manager as required. 14. Communicate all quality issues to the engineers and ensure you follow up with the production manager. 15. Lead, encourage, train, and support other team members. 16. Bring a sense of urgency to situations, demonstrate an active approach, and be willing to get involved to achieve the goals and objectives. 17. Seek ways of perfecting things, raising standards, and reducing errors. 18. Work to a high specification to improve and maintain quality. 19. Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
1. 3-5 years in a lead role in a Printed Circuit Board Assembly environment within an
ISO 9001
certified facility 2. Complete understanding of
IPC J-STD-OOID
standards 3. In depth knowledge and understanding of IPC 610 (classes 1,2,3) standard. 4. Complete understanding of PCB assembly drawings and related documents: ECN's, assembly instructions, basic schematic reading, manufacturer data sheets, and fabrication drawings. 5. Complete understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence. 6. Experience in MS Word, EMAIL and Excel 7. Ability to train and develop employees. 8. Customer and team-oriented 9. Experience in a lean manufacturing environment 10.Experience in a 5S environment 11. Effective verbal and written communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Minimum 5 years' experience in an EMS company as a production lead or related position in the electronics and/or circuit board fabrication industry with lead responsibilities 2. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, meets productivity standards. 3. Completes work in timely manner, strives to increase productivity. 4. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listens, and gets clarification, responds well to questions, and maintains confidentiality. 5. Writes clearly and informatively, able to read and interpret written information. 6. Balances team and individual responsibilities, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team spirit, supports everyone's efforts to succeed, treats people with respect, keeps commitments, works with integrity and ethically. 7.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
1. Indoor plant/floor environment. 2. May involve working in busy and noisy areas. 3. Requires constant communication with others to exchange information. 4. Involves frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and sitting throughout the day. 5. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and occasionally lift or carry up to 20 pounds. 6. May involve repetitive motions with the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. 7. Must be able to position oneself in different postures, including tight and confined spaces, to accomplish tasks. 8. May need to adjust or move objects weighing 10-20 pounds in all directions. 9. Required to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work. 10. Must be able to move about to accomplish tasks and move between workstations.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
