KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Meets all requirements of a jr. mobile technician. Assists immediate supervisor and other mobile technicians in the performance of all plant mobile equipment maintenance tasks. Capable of performing most tasks associated with mobile maintenance and repair without direct supervision. Trains mobile technician helpers and jr. mobile technicians. Provide own basic set of hand tools required to perform assigned maintenance duties. Keeps work areas and vehicles in a clean and orderly manner. Cleans and returns tools and equipment to their proper location. Operates all shop equipment and portable hand tools in safe manner. Safely operates all plant mobile equipment. Read and understand all plant mobile equipment mechanical drawings and sketches. Performs maintenance on 12 volt and 24-volt electric systems on all plant mobile equipment. Performs maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all plant mobile equipment. Occasionally responds to call-ins (nights, weekends, holidays) to perform basic mobile equipment repairs. Use the plant maintenance software system to query for open emergency and planned mobile maintenance jobs and to accurately and completely document work effort and job status. Follows all company safety procedures and hazardous waste guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Must have a valid state Class A CDL. Environmental Health & Safety Maintain safe working conditions and practices within the department. Conduct monthly safety meetings and employee training to achieve a zero (0) lost time injury record. Perform work duties in accordance with Quality System Manual procedures. Other requirements Good command of both oral and written local language is required (English is wished).Good command of both oral and written additional language is beneficial. Internal contacts Mobile Equipment and Plant Maintenance departments External contacts Equipment suppliers Education High School diploma or equivalent education Experience Minimum three (3) years of mechanical experience with off-highway and on-highway plant mobile equipment. Knowledge and skills High level of mechanical aptitude is a must. Knowledge of all plant operations in the area of responsibility. Ability to read drawings to assemble and disassemble equipment. Exposure to solvents and lubricants, dust and fumes as well as other substances. Exposure to extreme environmental conditions. Constant standing and walking.
Wage Range:
$32 - $38 hourly
