Job Description

Mechanical Assembly & Installation:
Assemble components and subassemblies into enclosures, cases, or cabinets, including the installation of heat sinks, sockets, and faceplates.
    Fastening & Fitting:
    Utilize hand tools (screwdrivers, torque wrenches, riveting tools) to secure boards, panels, and components.
      Structural Alignment:
      Align components, parts, or PCB subassemblies to ensure proper fit and functionality, including performing manual adjustments.]
        Inspection & Quality Control:
        Perform inspections to ensure quality standards (e.g., IPC-A-610) are met.
          Documentation & Testing:
          Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. Conduct basic electrical tests (e.g., continuity checks) and document production metrics.
            Safety & Maintenance:
            Adhere to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Required Skills & Qualifications
              Experience:
              1-3 years in electronics or mechanical assembly.
                Technical Skills:
                Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
                  Manual Dexterity:
                  Strong hand-eye coordination for handling small, delicate parts.
                    Tools:
                    Familiarity with precision hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, torque drivers).
                      Certifications:
                      Familiarity with or certification in IPC-A-610 or
                      IPC-WHMA-A-620
                      standards is frequently required.
                        Education:
                        High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Typical Working Environment
                        • Clean, climate-controlled, or ESD-safe manufacturing facility.
                        • Often involves repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.
                        • Work is typically done in small teams under the supervision of a production supervisor.
                        In this department you may be selected to work on specific projects and other duties not listed above that may be added.
                        Knowledge and Skill:
                        High school or equivalent. Must be able to speak, understand and read English.
                        Physical Requirements:
                        Must be in good health and be able to use both hands. Also, must have the ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
