Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Forklift & Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations in Perris, California. This position is responsible for maintaining a fleet of approximately 25 propane-powered Toyota and Hyundai forklifts, a few scissor lifts and other equipment operating across two neighboring facilities. In addition to forklift maintenance and repair, the successful candidate will assist with repairs to manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and special projects as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and taking ownership of equipment reliability. Essential Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on propane-powered Toyota and Hyundai forklifts. Diagnose and repair engine, hydraulic, electrical, steering, brake, and fuel system issues. Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize operational downtime. Conduct forklift safety inspections and maintain maintenance records. Maintain an organized inventory of forklift parts and shop supplies. Research, source, and order replacement parts as needed. Assist with maintenance and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment if needed. Support equipment installations, modifications, and special projects when needed. Perform basic fabrication, welding, and mechanical work as needed. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Qualifications 3+ years of mechanical repair experience preferred. Experience with forklifts, industrial equipment, automotive, diesel, agricultural, or heavy equipment maintenance. Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Experience with propane-powered equipment is preferred. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts breakdowns. $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
