Summary of Responsibilities:

This position is responsible to maintain and sustain the safe operation of all processing equipment with minimum supervision. The ideal candidate will provide a high level of technical knowledge in troubleshooting failures and the repair maintenance activities for all processing equipment in support of maximizing production efforts. Must be able to relocate seasonally.

Essential Functions:

Perform advanced preventative maintenance tasks Support the repair and maintenance activities of all equipment Consistently maintain a clean and organized work area; Care of shop equipment Plumbing skills, layout, pipe threading, proper use of fittings, etc. Capable of reading electrical schematics and AutoCad layouts Strong understanding on the operation of control panels; motor starters, VFD's, relays, circuit breakers, troubleshooting wiring, etc. Understand the operation of conveyors; alignment of belts, inspection of bearings, gearboxes, and motors Safely conduct blade changes and repairs on industrial slicers Repair and replace pneumatic hoists systems; check for chain wear and safety hook/ latches Capable of repairing and replacing pumps, ensuring rotation, wiring, and inspection of impeller Troubleshoot and pinpoint failure root causes Thorough understanding of Safety and Food Safety policies / guidelines Capable of supporting all areas of Maintenance in general

Ability to use hand and power tools Ability to comply with safety rules and follow GMP's Ability to read and understand equipment manuals Ability to work in cold- wet environment Math knowledge Bilingual in English/ Spanish preferred but not required Electrical and Automotive experience Ability to work on multiple priorities Excellent attendance record Physical ability to lift 60+ lbs.
