You'll gain deep experience and work with other professional mechanics. Modern shop & tools: Join our Fabrication, Maintenance & Construction (FMC) team at our state-of-the-art facility. Examples of Duties Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair plant, shop, field, and construction equipment. Perform preventive maintenance, overhauls, and equipment installations. Contribute to a strong safety culture and responsive on-call rotation (when qualified).
Level placement:
Wastewater Plant Mechanic I:
Semi-skilled, sub-journey work with training and progression.
Wastewater Plant Mechanic II:
Journey-level diagnostics, repair, and PM on complex systems.
Qualifications Wastewater Plant Mechanic I :
Education/skills to follow written/oral instructions, keep records, perform shop math + 2 years semi-skilled mechanical maintenance/repair experience.
Wastewater Plant Mechanic II :
High school (or equivalent) + recognized journey-level Maintenance/Plant Mechanic status.
Both levels:
Valid CA Class C license/insurability; teamwork mindset; ability to work outdoors/overtime; basic
CMMS & MS
Office skills. Willing to join on-call rotation once proficient. Must obtain a Class B California Driver's license within one year.
