Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Machine Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing a wide range of industrial machinery to ensure continuous production and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving, with a strong focus on safety and quality standards. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulic systems, and precision measuring instruments, within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on various machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes. Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, belts, gears, valves, and hydraulic cylinders. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure machinery operates within specified tolerances. Conduct welding operations in accordance with welding standards to repair or fabricate parts. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Collaborate with electrical technicians and industrial electricians to resolve complex electrical or high voltage issues. Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts and other industrial tools safely. Interpret schematics and control diagrams for troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and HVAC/R systems. Support the installation of new machinery and upgrades to existing equipment. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to high voltage, low voltage, and electrical work. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally. Experience Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience in industrial settings. Familiarity with CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking and reporting. Hands-on experience with hydraulics, welding (including welding), HVAC/R systems, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams accurately. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, ammeters, ohmmeters, and high voltage safety procedures. Experience working in field service roles involving analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Background in industrial maintenance with a focus on safety standards related to high voltage and electrical systems. Military experience or technical training in related fields is considered an asset. Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and customer interactions.
