JOB SUMMARY
Perform equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, programming, updating and training on production equipment. Ownership of the scheduling software for PM's and calibrations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
  • Perform preventative, predictive and unscheduled maintenance of equipment across multiple areas, mechanical and/or electrical in nature
  • Perform ESD audits and log records of ESD Protection Program in accordance with current ISO and IATF procedures; maintain ESD compliance throughout the facility.
  • Maintain manufacturing equipment calibration program and records of calibration in accordance with current ISO and IATF procedures
  • Maintain records of all maintenance and repair in accordance with current ISO and IATF procedures
  • Research and implement equipment changes and/or updates to improve reliability, changeover times, etc. drive continuous improvement; utilize fabrication techniques with manual milling machine and assorted shop tools; utilize ESG 3D printing capabilities.
  • Train operators in preventative maintenance, verify compliance, report status and ensure timeliness of task completions
  • Order inventory and spare parts for multiple departments; control inventory both visually and thru software applications
  • Create maintenance procedures based on manufacturer's recommendations, updating and improving as needed; modify scheduling and tasks based on actual usage
  • Champion 5S and other similar initiatives, leading by example; contribute by defining and implementing improvement opportunities; maintain existing systems
  • Promote and participate in manufacturing process improvements including automation
  • Create, modify, and maintain manufacturing documentation including Assembly and Test instructions
  • Work with hazardous materials in a safe and controlled manner, utilizing PPE and labeling techniques per OSHA guidelines
  • Control distribution, maintenance and costs of protective wear and tools for team members
  • Participate in Safety Committee and work to implement improvements and controls
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. Non-essential (if applicable)
  • Programming and PLC capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years vocational education or equivalent experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on customer service
  • Intermediate computer knowledge including use of standard MS Office applications and scheduling software Desired
EQUIPMENT OPERATED
  • All Manufacturing and Test equipment; this position is expected to be the person with extensive knowledge of manufacturing and related equipment
  • Assorted hand and soldering tools
  • Shop tools, manual mill and related shop equipment
  • Material handling equipment
  • Office machines (e.
g., copy machine, computer terminal, printer, fax, telephone, etc.)

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand. The team member is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance.
