Full-Time Job Summary US Calcium is seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery at our calcium carbonate mill in Gooding, Idaho. This position is responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently in a mining and milling environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with heavy equipment and industrial systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs with minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance and Repair Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on plant equipment and mobile machinery Perform routine preventative maintenance on crushers, conveyors, loaders, and processing equipment Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Troubleshoot breakdowns and complete timely repairs to minimize production downtime Replace worn or damaged parts including bearings, belts, motors, and components Operational Support Work closely with operations team to identify equipment issues and prioritize repairs Assist with equipment inspections before and after shifts Support general maintenance and labor tasks across the mill as needed Safety and Compliance Follow all MSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols Maintain a clean and organized work area Identify and report safety hazards Documentation and Communication Record maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage Communicate equipment status and repair needs with supervisors Qualifications Experience as a mechanic in industrial, mining, or heavy equipment environments preferred Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience operating equipment such as skid steers or loaders is a plus Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus Work Schedule and Requirements Full-time position, Monday through Friday (M-F) Must be able to work early or later shifts as needed Must pass a drug test and background check Ability to work in an industrial environment including dust, noise, and outdoor conditions Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experience Opportunities for growth and advancement $22 - $32/hourDOE Pay:
