You'll spend most of your day on the plant floor, side‑by‑side with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to boost equipment reliability, safety, and throughput. A day in the life Morning standup leads to a walk through your area, where you triage recurring issues and plan quick wins. By mid‑morning, you're elbow‑deep in a pneumatic or hydraulic assembly, validating a repair and confirming the fix with a test run. After lunch, you trace an electrical fault, step into basic ladder logic on an Allen‑Bradley PLC to isolate an interlock, then document the change. You close the day advancing a small capital project—coordinating a contractor, updating the schedule, and tracking spend—before finalizing updates to PM work orders and P&IDs.
