Job Description

Serviceman I
  • FUNCTIONS
  • - applies to all functions listed below associated with each task: housekeeping, equipment and process field inspections (PM duties), lubrication, troubleshooting, minor repairs and adjustments, use of various tools, operation of mobile equipment and knowledge of environmental and safety rules as well as the functionality of all Plant equipment:
  • a)•Performs material handling activities, as needed, using overhead cranes, front end loaders and other mobile equipment•b)•Locate, monitor and perform field inspections on all Plant equipment•c)•Make minor mechanical repairs.
  • d)•Initiate necessary actions (report on, operate, repair, clean, feed, adjust, etc.
, plant equipment as required by supervisor)
  • e)•Assist maintenance department personnel as needed•f)•Perform preventive maintenance inspection and check lubrication systems•g)•Perform whatever work as needed on preheater tower, such as operate cardox, blasters, air/water lances, clean ducts and vessels, inspect/troubleshoot equipment•h)•Assist in laboratory product sampling and procedures
