Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Greenhouse Production and Mechanical Associate, where you'll play a vital role in cultivating healthy plants and maintaining efficient greenhouse operations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors and indoors, applying your horticultural knowledge and mechanical skills to support sustainable plant growth. You'll be responsible for assisting with plant propagation, managing irrigation systems, and ensuring all equipment functions smoothly to create optimal growing conditions. Responsibilities Assist with seeding and transplanting a variety of crops within the greenhouse environment Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure consistent water delivery for optimal plant health Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment safely to support greenhouse operations and plant maintenance Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs on greenhouse structures and equipment Help with heavy lifting of supplies, soil, plants, and other materials as needed to support daily operations Experience Growing experience in horticulture is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Familiarity with greenhouse environments and plant identification is advantageous Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools for repairs or adjustments Outdoor work experience or agriculture settings is highly valued Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods Strong attention to detail with good basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to planting schedules and equipment maintenance At our greenhouse, you will play a key role in supporting daily greenhouse operations by assisting with crop production, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with plants, solving mechanical challenges, and contributing to a productive team environment.
