Job Title:
Mechanical Assembly Technician Job Description This role focuses on the mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and complete machines. You will rotate between multiple workstations throughout the day, using a variety of tools and following detailed blueprints and schematics to build high-quality products. The position requires strong attention to detail, consistent inspection of parts, and accurate data entry to support a smooth and efficient production process. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical sub-assemblies and full machines, following established procedures and quality standards. Work across multiple assembly stations throughout the workday, adapting to different tasks and components as needed. Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools to assemble, fasten, and secure parts during the production process. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to correctly identify parts, orientation, and assembly sequences. Inspect all parts and assemblies before, during, and after assembly to ensure they meet specifications and are assembled correctly. Identify rejected or flawed parts and accurately enter related information into the company database for tracking and quality control. Assist with packaging assembled products as needed to prepare them for shipment or further processing. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures and contributing to a safe production environment. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly work in a fast-paced production environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics for mechanical assemblies. Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly tasks, including working with sub-assemblies and complete machines. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools for assembly work. Ability to perform detailed inspections of parts and assemblies to ensure correct assembly and quality. Basic data entry skills to record rejected or flawed parts in the company database accurately. High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with electro-mechanical assembly processes. Familiarity with packaging assembled products for shipment or storage. Ability to work efficiently at multiple stations and adapt to changing tasks throughout the day. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in a production environment. Why Work Here? The environment is fast-paced but organized, with clear procedures and safety practices in place. Steel-toed boots or safety shoes are required as part of the dress code to ensure safety on the production floor Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
